Daniel Anker

Daniel Anker is a documentary producer whose credits include Scottsboro: An American Tragedy, which received an Oscar nomination and an Emmy Award. Anker also produced Music From The Inside Out, which premiered at SILVERDOCS, and Imaginary Witness: Hollywood And The Holocaust, which has been shown at more than 70 film festivals worldwide and was released theatrically earlier this year. Anker also has produced many PBS programs including the Peabody Award-winning children's series Marsalis On Music, several programs for Great Performances and American Experience, and three seasons of live broadcasts from the Metropolitan Opera. Anker’s new projects include Sidney Lumet: The Moral Lens, a film about the legendary director, Icebound, an NEH-funded feature documentary about the 1925 serum run to Nome, Alaska, and The Freedom Writers' Diaries, a documentary based on the true story of a group of at-risk youths. Anker is co-author of MUSIC FROM THE INSIDE OUT: Music Literacy for Upper Elementary, Middle School and High School, a curriculum based on his film that has been adopted by several school systems.
