Mike Attie

Mike Attie graduated from Vassar College in 1999 with a B.A. in history and is currently an MFA candidate in Stanford’s Documentary Film and Video Program. For several years he worked as a production assistant and assistant editor for Academy Award®-winning filmmakers Alan and Susan Raymond. His other film credits include editor on What Harm is it to be a Woman?, a documentary produced for the Religious Consultation, location sound recordist for Rosita, broadcast on HBO Latin America in July 2006, and production assistant on Knee Deep, a half-hour documentary broadcast on public television. Mike co-produced and directed the short documentary Hooked: Philly’s Urban Anglers with a grant from WYBE to be broadcast as part of their Philadelphia Stories series. His most recent films at Stanford explored the lives of aspiring circus performers and the exploits of an elementary school cooking team.
